I suppose I could talk about where I was born, raised, what I studied, how many siblings I have and all that kind of stuff (Carson City, NV; English Education and French at UNR in Reno, NV; one sister). Or I could tell you about the first thing I ever published. (Which was, technically speaking, MAMA IS MEAN, written on the side of the house for which I got grounded an entire weekend. Okay. I was a revolutionary.) But I decided to give you a bio of things I like to know about people. Really know! Because, quite honestly, that other stuff is filler. So here's my bio:

I love chocolate. Peanut M & Ms are my favorite candy. And I don't share brownies with anybody. Not even my husband (btw, I live in Colombia, South America, with my husband and daughter.) Since my daughter is a newborn, I don't have to share my brownies with her, either. And I think when she gets older, I'll probably hide them from her.

I'm a movie fanatic. I think secretly I want to wear one of those fancy dresses and walk down the red carpet at the Oscars one day. Well, I guess that's not a secret anymore. But really, I love movies, directors, actors, screen writers, gaffers -- anybody in the movies. In FREEZE FRAME, I mention lots of my favorite directors. Honestly, I'll watch anything except for horror or suspense because I have bad dreams.

Which brings me to something interesting. I'm a sleep walker and talker and sometimes have night terrors. It's somewhat amusing -- except for when I walk myself outside of the house. That's kind of scary, really. I've only done it a couple of times. One of these days, I think I'll go to a sleep clinic. But they scare me, too. They remind me of someplace I think Stanley Kubrick would've filmed a movie. So maybe I'll skip the sleep clinics and just continue with my night wanderings.

I have an album up of some of my favorite travel photos. I've lived and traveled in over 25 countries around the world (from Bangladesh to the Czech Republic; Spain to Peru). That guy with me in the photos is my husband. And maybe one day our daughter will love to travel as much as we do. We hope!

And I love to write, travel, write, travel, and write. I think that's probably obvious, but sometimes it doesn't hurt to state the obvious. Just because that's what's most often overlooked in life.
